Enjoyed warping up my handmade rigid heddle loom today, preparing for a 2.5m weave inspired by hedgerows for Oxfordshire Artweeks.

Awake in the night thinking about how I was going to secure the warp threads, but with a bit of knowledge from watching videos and reading up on this ancient weaving method, paired with common sense and Canadian farm girl skills, I made this work and enjoyed every mindful thread.

A wonderful task today, with the sun beaming through the windows across the weave, as the political world goes a million miles a minute.

Keep calm, carry on...and CREATE! 🎨
