I enjoy working on antique pieces of various types – the addition of art on an antique piece sends a unique message to the viewer.

My artists’ books are themed collections of handpainted collage papers, collagraphs and painted pages, bound together to create the feeling of a place and to send a message about it.

My biome boxes are mixed media cubes on paper inspired by the colours and textures of a particular natural area.

Collagraphs are my preferred printmaking technique. It is the embossed shapes embedded in the paper combined with the textured paint that I find so beautiful.

Using a piece of weathered wood as a substrate for art sends a completely different message than using a new canvas or fresh, white piece of paper, because it has history.

The use of encaustic wax in my work is usually linked to the concept of the preservation of a certain aspect of nature.

This little mixed media scroll is inspired by the wild plants along the edges of gardens and fields. 

These pieces are inspired by a delicate egg shell I found in early spring.
